Many home owners have opted out of using a Realtor to sell their homes and have been successful. Probably many more have given up and decided to use a professional.
Selling a business is even more complicated than selling a house, but still some business owners attempt it.
There are many problems with this scenario. Two of the biggest are that business brokers have buyers that will never know about the business for sale by owner. One other huge problem is that business owners still have to run a business while trying to sell it.
